Today I spent most of the day flying to Waterloo and unpacking. Luckily, my plane landed on schedule so I was able to make it to my ACC 607 class just 15 minutes late. So many people stared at me as I walked in haha, I don’t blame them. I probably look like a super slacker for being so late on the second day of in-person classes.
This class was super long, but thankfully I managed to pay attention throughout without getting too bored. It helped that:
- I couldn’t fricking connect to the Eduroam wifi so I had no online distractions. Nothing to do but to listen to the prof.
- Dan is actually super engaging. I sometimes found him a little confusing during our online lectures, but after just one in-person lecture I can see why he’s so highly rated by SAF students.
Today’s class was about debriefing our group case assignment. Can I just say one more time how relieved I am that’s over?? The debrief was alternately alarming and reassuring. There were several issues my group missed, but also quite a lot that we got right. Overall I hope that we reached at least a C competency in most of the issues.
Standards I Read Today
- I wasn’t very productive with my plane reading time—only got through one standard (CAS 540), but at least it didn’t feel very painful!
- I spent most of the evening unpacking, but powered through CAS 620 (luckily another short, easy standard).
Cases I Wrote Today
Nothing today, because of all the travel time. Hoping to be very productive tomorrow morning and get through the entire Suregrip case for 680 before class at 10am.
